BBA Aviation Operations

The BBA Aviation Operations program aims to create skilled professionals for the aviation sector and allied fields of travel and tourism. Delivered under the aegis of Center for Aviation Studies, a center of excellence under UPES, the program has a unique advantage of a built-in IATA/UFTAA foundation course within the main curriculum, thus increasing the application relevance of the program with respect to addressing the business requirements of the aviation sector and enabling students with an entrepreneurial bent to acquire necessary skills for starting their own venture.

The UPES center for Aviation Studies has also been awarded an IATA authorized partner certification.

Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1992 are eligible to apply for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic.

    Experience : In two months of internship I have learnt a lot about market. In Toyota I’ve worked in used car department & there I worked & studied about the growing used car market in India. I also gained practical experience which will be very useful to me in my career.

    It was wonderful time at UPES when we actually saw the development happenning over the four years. It was an unforgettable experience attending Dean Sir's classes going in each an every detail of Petroleum Engineering.

    Experience : The aim of preparing this project was to gain an insight into how Information Technology can affect daily Logistics activities considering factors like efficiency, Time management, Data Management etc.  The study conducted while preparing the project helped me in identifying the future possibilities in the sector. All in all, the research for the project helped me in understanding the industry in a better way.

    Experience : I did my summer internship at Agrawal Packers & Movers Ltd. This internship helped me to understand CRM practices adopted by company along with the various aspects of relocation (packaging, movement & insurance) & marketing. During my internship I also got a chance to understand the working of accounts department. It was a good experience & I learnt a lot from the training about the industry & grasped knowledge related to the operations of 3PL company.

    Experience : My two months summer internship at Maruti Suzuki India Ltd helped me in getting an insight into the working of export & import department. I learnt different processes involved in billing, packaging, dispatchment and arrangement for packaging material, vehicle scheduling & routing.

The learning  experience was good and it gave me an immense knowledge of  the working of the logistics sector. This opportunity gave me a chance to apply the book knowledge on to the field. In all the Internship was very helpful.

    Experience : The title of my project was Study the practices of HR Department & Domestic Relocation and Household. The experience & learning was excellent. This summer internship helped me to learn the Customer Relationship Management practices & how to retain existing customers & create & manage new customers. Through this Summer Internship Program, I have applied my knowledge on to the field, which not only enhanced my skills & also update my knowledge.

    • Industry Visited: Haryana City Gas

    Experience : Being students of BBA (Oil And Gas), Sem III we got an opportunity to visit the Haryana City Gas Gurgaon . There we were given an insight into various aspects of the city gas business. The industrial visit was an enriching experience for us as we got to learn and understand the entire process of supply and distribution. We also got the opportunity to visit the processing unit where we saw all the stages in distribution and supply of city gas. It was an enriching experience for me.

    • Industries Visited : Panipat Refinery and Haryana City Gas Retail Outlet

    Experience : The industrial tour brought an absolute change in my knowledge about upstream and downstream sector. It was very informative and enlightening as I visited the refinery, storage and retail units and spoke to experts over there who shared their knowledge and experience with me. Visiting the storage and retail facilities was actually very helpful and interesting as well as it temporarily exposed us to the real work that takes place and personally helped me understand classroom concepts better as now I am able to relate with the pictures that I have in mind of the Panipat Refinery, Bijwasan Storage and Haryana City Gas Retail Outlet. All in all it was a terrific experience and now I am eagerly waiting to actually start managing operations and contribute positively to one of these organizations.

    Experience : The best three years of my life: beautiful campus, nice faculty & admin and I loved my stay in UPES. I got posted in January 2013 and my stay in UPES has always been helpful in my field.

    Experience : From industrial tour I have learned how the loading & unloading activity as a function of logistics is performed in real life or at company. I also learned how to store goods in a systematic manner,load unitization,pallets,container etc, with the help of material handling equipment. And also how the company take various measure to protect the goods from outside environment like Safexpress warehouse is covered with insulated sheet i.e in winter it raises the temperature by 5 degree & in summer it decreases the temperature by 5 degree & provide a proper temperature & humidity condition for storage.& AMUL uses special type of chilling vans,truck etc for storage of the goods and prevent from damages.

    Experience : It was a tremendous learning experience for us to visit esteem firm such as Safexpress –Worlds Best 3PL Provider & Amul–excellent in supply chain integration. This visit formed a linkage between theoretical and practical learning among us. We are well able to relate the classroom learning with the industry’s working. This visit broadened our thinking capabilities by making us learn how inbound logistics & outbound logistics play an important role in driving an industry effectively & efficiently.
