Non Examination Pathway – MBA admissions through National Level Tests

If you fulfill our eligibility criteria (Minimum 50 % marks in class 10th and 12th, as well as in graduation - Appeared but Result awaited can also apply) and have any of the following test scores
  • Sept MAT 2016 score of minimum 75 percentile
  • December MAT 2016 score of minimum 75 percentile
  • Feb MAT 2017 score of minimum 75 percentile
  • May MAT 2017 score of minimum 75 percentile
  • Accept CMAT 2017 / XAT 2017 / CAT 2016 / NMAT 2016 / GMAT Scores

** Upto 50% seats shall be filled through National Level Tests category. Incase candidates for such seats are not available, UPES has the right to fill these seats through UPES Entrance Test. University also reserves the right to conduct further physical (paper pencil test) for admission post March ' 2017.

** University reserves the right to change the Test Date or cancel the Test .University also reserves thr right to conduct further physical (pen/paper) test post administration of Test.

  

Reservation of Seats

For Uttarakhand Bonafide resident candidates : 15 % of the seats in all program will be reserved for resident of Uttarakhand subject to producing of "Sthai Niwas Praman Patra certificate" .These Seats will be filled by separate merit list declared for Uttarakhand resident candidates.However in the event of the seats remaining unfilled by the stipulated date in the above mentioned category the same shall be treated as unreserved.

Note: Candidates applying under this category would be required to produce the original “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” during the day of admission failing which their candidature shall stand cancelled.

Admit Card (to be downloaded from UPES website)

On the basis of information in the Application form, admit card of provisionally eligible candidates will be uploaded on the University website www.upes.ac.in  in 10 May, 2017. Candidates are required to download the admit card accordingly. The duly completed downloaded admit card with photograph affixed (duly attested) in the space provided will have to be produced at the allotted test center. Candidates without the admit card or card without the photograph will NOT be permitted to take the test.

100% Scholarship on Tuition Fee (2017 - 18)

  • Scholarship will be offered to students securing an aggregate of 85% marks in class 12th & 90% marks in PCM for B.Tech. (all streams) in CBSE of ICSE Examination Board. Such scholarship will be limited to 5% seats in each B.Tech. Program.
  • Scholarship will be given on the basis of Merit only.
  • Continuation of Scholarship in the subsequent year will be as per the University policy.

 Admit Card (to be downloaded from UPES website)

On the basis of information in the Application form, admit card of provisionally eligible candidates will be uploaded on the University website www.upes.ac.in in 10 May, 2017. Candidates are required to download the admit card accordingly. The duly completed downloaded admit card with photograph affixed (duly attested) in the space provided will have to be produced at the allotted test center. Candidates without the admit card or card without the photograph will NOT be permitted to take the test.

 

Age Criteria

Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1997 are eligible to apply for admission(As per Bar Council of India). Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic.

 

Please Note

  • Candidates placed in compartment are not eligible for admission to any program of study in the university.
  • Admissions will be purely on the basis of merit and candidates are strongly advised against canvassing and/or extraneous pressure on the selection process. Any candidate found guilty in above activities, his/her candidature is liable for immediate disqualification.
  • The University of Petroleum & Energy Studies reserves the right to cancel any advertised course due to insufficient admissions, enrolments or for any other reason beyond its control. In such an eventuality, full fee shall be refunded to the student.
Domicile Benefits

15% of seats in all programs (subject to merit) are reserved for domiciled students from Uttarakhand subject to production of domicile certificate. However, in event of the seats remaining unfilled, the same shall be treated as unreserved.

UPES has provision for providing 25% concession on Tuition Fee for Uttarakhand domicile students on merit-cum-means basis, to be decided by the University subject to fulfillment of the following conditions by the student:

The student’s gross annual family income to more than Rs. 3 lakhs. The student should possess necessary documents attesting this fact

The student should be in possession of a valid ‘SthaiNiwasPramanPatra’ from Uttarakhand state.

The student should have done schooling and passed Class X and Class XII from Uttarakhand (this condition may be relaxed for wards of Defence personnel’s, subject to production of posting certificate outside the state issued by competent authority)
