B. Tech in Computer Science Engineering with specialisation in Infrastructure Management

Overview
Infrastructure Management is fast emerging as a growing discipline the word over.

IBM’s vision of Smarter Planet and emerging technologies such as Cloud computing are putting enormous pressure on the data centres of tomorrow. The increasing work loads of millions of connected Devices, and more and more complex and functionally richer Applications, need powerful Compute facilities at the back end. Further, the Green computing revolution is necessitating large scale Server and Storage Consolidation, coupled with newer challenges of managing scale, applications, security and privacy, continuous fail-safe operations, backups and recovery, etc.

To manage all this complexity, System Integration (S.I.) companies (such as IBM, CSC, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, etc), and solution providers (ISVs such as ERP, SCM, CRM developers), need thousands of professionals every year for them to be able to offer complex infrastructure management services to their clients.

Within infrastructure management, RIM (Remote Infrastructure Mgmt) is also emerging as a very effective Offering by Indian SI companies. Using well equipped Control/ Command Centres, these companies manage fairly large and complex data centres for their world wide clients right here from India.

The job market for Infrastructure Management, therefore, is large and growing.

Our B. Tech. program in Computer Science with specialization in Infrastructure Management prepares you to meet the above challenges through specialized subjects, delivered to you through industry aligned curriculum, courseware, and mentors. On passing out, you can look forward to an exciting career either with a leading Global S.I. or ISV company, or with a large end-user organization in the country or abroad.
