Living Labs
We refer to the technical labs at UPES as "Living Labs" because our students and faculty together are continuously experimenting and innovating in these labs. Our labs are abuzz with activities throughout the day and are the epicentre of our campus at Dehradun.
Keeping in view the need of in depth basic
knowledge of subject and training for research and industrial
requirements, UPES has established large number of laboratories
for different programs related to its specific domains like Oil
& Gas, Energy, Infrastructure, Aerospace & Aviation and
Automotive Design Engineering. UPES is enriched with 70 labs,
out of which 61 labs are catering to the needs of students and
remaining are actively engaged for Research and Development in
pursuit of excellence. All the labs are spacious and well
equipped with basic and ultra modern equipments for providing
hand-on training to the students as per the curriculum
requirements. They are managed by specially trained technicians well versed in handling specialized instruments and machines like melting point measurement apparatus, polar meters, spectrophotometer, digital balances, etc.
The labs cater to pure sciences,
engineering, advanced engineering as well as sector specific
requirements.
