2019 Young HR Leader, 2018 India HR 40 under 40 recipient and GE’s HRLP (Human Resources Leadership Program) graduate, Prajakta Kanaglekar comes with 16+ years of international experience in large business partnership as well as functional roles, specializing in talent pipeline development, employee relations, leadership development, and learning & development.

Prajakta currently leads Talent Development for Flipkart, helping shape its culture through insights driven, innovative and inclusive talent strategies.

Prior to Flipkart, Prajakta worked across multiple GE business in different roles. Most recently, she was at Baker Hughes, a GE company, where she led Leadership Development for the 65,000+ workforce globally. She was the Global University Recruiting leader for GE leading key programs to implement GE’s global university recruiting strategy across all regions around the world. She worked on building out new components of the candidate experience and best-in-class standards to attract and hire the best university graduates. She was the also the Leadership Program Manager for GE South Asia and responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the Leadership Programs in India. She helped build a strong brand around leadership programs, streamlining processes as well as developing novel ways of engaging and developing the talent on these programs and their assignment leaders.

Prajakta joined GE in 2005 as part of the HR Leadership Program (HRLP) after having worked in different capacities in multinational companies in India and the United States. In 2007, she joined GE’s Bangalore Engineering Center (BEC) Energy & Water engineering teams as the HR Manager where she developed and led several initiatives for BEC around learning, developing leaders and rewarding employees. She then took over the role as the HR Leader for GE’s Global Research labs in Bangalore, where she helped enrich, engage and grow the teams significantly from 2009-11.

She holds a Master’s in Training & Development from Oakland University, Michigan and a Master’s degree in German Literature from Pune University, India. She has an undergraduate degree in Zoology from Ferguson College, Pune.
