BBA (Human Resources Management): Human resource management (HRM) is the process of managing the relationship between people and the organizations they work in. It is a specialist function supporting organizations, and their employees, at both strategic and operational levels. An understanding of HRM is of benefit to anyone with responsibilities for managing people. For HRM there is a requirement of trained personnel in every organization. Considering the immense importance of HRM, UPES has launched a specialized course in this function. Students interested in entering the human resources profession with a bachelor's degree could qualify for a variety of positions, each with a unique set of responsibilities. They could get employment in human resources departments, consultancy firms, recruiting agencies and training organizations. BBA (Marketing Management) : Marketing Management enables the organization to overcome the challenges like – intense competition, ever changing business environment and changing customer tastes and preferences by focusing on the most vital aspect of satisfying customer needs and wants. Marketing thus is a crucial function of an organization and marketing professionals are in high demand in the job market. To meet this high demand, UPES has introduced BBA Program in Marketing Management. The course design of this program is a rigorous blend of various facets of marketing that includes sales, advertising, consumer behavior, services marketing and various marketing electives. BBA (Operations Management): Operations management encompasses management of both manufacturing services. Operations Management includes production of goods, their quality control, facilities management, warehousing of goods and purchasing. India is undergoing major reforms and is expected to become the third-largest economy of the world by 2030. Indian companies are now directing their efforts to becoming global players by eyeing foreign markets for goods and services they produce in India. Also, under the ‘Make in India’ campaign of the Government of India a host of incentives are now being offered to companies to encourage manufacturing in India. The coupling effect of these developments is that manufacturing and services sector has received a tremendous impetus for growth. This growth will drive the requirement of trained personnel in the near future. UPES has thus introduced BBA in Operations Management to cater to this requirement. Our course will equip the students with both the theoretical and practical knowledge required to be successful in this field.

Experience :My training at Mitsubishi Excel Motors was to know about how to carry on with marketing activites and core marketing strategies to promote thebrand. Our mentor taught us about Above The Line (ATL) marketing techniques important in the competative market of Delhi.
Upes provided me a platform where I can stand and see myself as a person who is comparatively more capable of facing overall challenges of life and turning my dreams into reality. I would say that it’s not just about the quality education I get from the wonderful faculty, it is also about the life of UPES which just simply makes you perfect. I have been involved in research and development projects like competitors’ analysis of Balmer Lawrie co. ltd. and reporting methodologies which have helped me develop good analytical skills.
Experience : I did my summer-internship in Mitsubishi Excel Motors, New Delhi & was a part of a core-marketing team. It was very helpful when it comes to training as we were involved in every marketing step taking in company.
The two year what I have spent at UPES pursuing MBA Energy Trading, were the best years of my life. The industry exposure and niche domain knowledge bestowed on me by my faculty, industry experts and alumni was incredible. My course trained me to be an expert in the field of Oil & Gas, Power, Shipping, International Finance & Business, and Trading & Risk Management. I am thank my university, particularly the department of Oil & Gas and the alumni for making valuable opportunities available to us, in terms of live industry projects, domain specific workshops, research work, conferences, real time industry developments, internships and good placements. I found the culture very nurturing, as the faculty has treated us like a parent and guided us all across whenever I need any help.
Experience : Being students of BBA (Oil And Gas), Sem III we got an opportunity to visit the Haryana City Gas Gurgaon . There we were given an insight into various aspects of the city gas business. The industrial visit was an enriching experience for us as we got to learn and understand the entire process of supply and distribution. We also got the opportunity to visit the processing unit where we saw all the stages in distribution and supply of city gas. It was an enriching experience for me.
Experience :I have done my Summer Internship with Mitsubishi Excel Motors, New Delhi. I took care and actively participated in all promotional and advertising campaigns. We as a marketing team organised events and I realised that Advertisement & Sales Promotion has lot of scope and is a tool to meet the competion in the market.
Experience : I did my summer internship at Agrawal Packers & Movers Ltd. This internship helped me to understand CRM practices adopted by company along with the various aspects of relocation (packaging, movement & insurance) & marketing. During my internship I also got a chance to understand the working of accounts department. It was a good experience & I learnt a lot from the training about the industry & grasped knowledge related to the operations of 3PL company.
Experience : We travelled to two companies, Safexpress and Amul. At Safexpress I gained a practical experience of how the company is able to manage the arrival and departure of the products timely from the hub situated at Ambala. At Amul I learned how they procure milk and manufacture butter at a huge landmass by working 24*7.
The Industrial tour has broadened my concept on how the different logistics firms have adopted different strategies.
Experience : UPES is truly a nation builder’s University. My experience at UPES-DDN campus is a garland of beautiful memories with each bead corresponding to each day of the 2 years. An ambience of learning mixed with fun and exposure to the professional environment, multiplying the intellectual development to suit the requirement of top notch industries across the globe. The best taste of life is when one is able to convert his passion into his profession. UPES has been fulcrum to leverage me do that. I believe this is how excellence is achieved. Thanks to UPES.
Pursuing my masters in UPES has been a great decision, as it gave insight into an aspect of economics which has hardly been dealt with in our country. Amidst the beautiful ambience and infrastructure of the university, life at UPES has been extremely colourful. The postgraduate program of MA Economics with specialization in Energy Economics in UPES, is one of the first to have been started in the country, and I am proud to have been a part of this successful start. I feel honoured to have represented my University in two case study conferences and for having been given the opportunity to work in Central Electricity Regulatory Commission for my summer internship. In our industrial visit we were given the opportunity to closely observe the oil and gas and power industry. All in all, throughout my journey of ups downs, as a part of the first batch of energy economists I have had a strong support team and I would like to thank all the professors who have helped me in the gradual process of knowledge gathering.
