B.Tech Mechanical Engineering with Specialization in Material Science & Nano Technology has its origins in the Metallurgical and Mechanical Engineering. This field encompasses a wide variety of programs ranging from Aerospace to Biological materials, from Explosives to Surgical instruments, and from Metallurgy to Nanotechnology with the core knowledge of Mechanical Engineering. Role of specialization MSNT is involved in the extraction, development, processing, and testing of the materials with basic work related to mechanical engineering in Industries. Program is designed to impart the knowledge of Mechanical engineering with metals, ceramics, plastics, semiconductors, and combinations of materials called composites to create new materials that meet industry requirements. The career prospects of specialization are very wide and diverse in area of Mechanical Engineering and Materials with their profound knowledge and quick intuitive abilities to connect a wide spectrum of domains with core knowledge of mechanical engineering.

Examination Pathway admissions through UPESEAT (Upto 80% of Seats) :

  • Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)
  • Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th)

Non Examination Pathway – admissions through Board Merit / JEE & Mains Score (Upto 20% of Seats) :

  • For Board Merit : Minimum 80% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and minimum 80% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th class)
  • For JEE Mains Merit : Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th class). JEE Mains;(cut off to be announced after declaration of JEE Mains-2018 result)
