Four events from UPES schools, departments and student groups support this goal.
Runway Incubator and the Department of Social Outreach ran a problem-solving programme for 155 students of classes 9 to 12 at Government Inter College, Paundha, Dehradun. Water conservation and smart water use was one of five community challenges the students worked on (event report[1]).
A water-conservation day in Bidholi village during the NSS seven-day camp: a rally on rainwater harvesting, live models and a street play.
With the University of Tokyo, Tecnológico de Monterrey, NIH Roorkee and IIT Roorkee, sharing innovations in water and environment technology.
Talks by the Vice Chancellor and Padma Bhushan environmentalist Dr Anil Prakash Joshi, including UPES's switch from RO systems to UV-treated water to save water.
