Summer Internships are mandatory for all graduates and post graduate students. The minimum duration of Summer Internships is 8 weeks to a maximum of six months. All students are required to make a presentation & submit the projects at the end of their internship.
The Office of Career Services & faculties from respective domains plays an important role in ensuring that all students get an opportunity to experience corporate life and culture through these internships.
Some of the projects that students have completed through their internships have been greatly appreciated by the companies.
Every year students undergo Summer Internships across companies of repute. Students have successfully, interned with companies like L&T,GMR, ABB, DLF, Cairn, Essar, Shapoorji & Pallonji, ONGC, IOCL, HPCL, HAL, GE, Emerson Process Management, Adani Gas, L&T Infotech, Maersk Line, BHEL, NHAI, EIL etc. Prominent law firms like Amarchand & Mangaldas , Suresh a.shroff & Co, Luthra & Luthra and Khaitan & Co. also took legal students for internships.
College of Management and Economics studies (CoMES)
UPES College of Management takes pride in the fact that besides most of the blue-chip corporate houses in the country, we are the campus of choice amongst the Top-6 consulting firms as well. Moreover, the Maharatnas, Navratnas and the Mini Ratnas keenly provide Internships on ‘Live’ Projects to UPES students.
2014-15 was no different. The sector leaders across Aviation, Oil & gas, Power, Infrastructure, Logistics & Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Transportation, etc. have shown interest in assessing the new brood through the 8-weeks engagement. Notable companies where students shall be undertaking their internships include Spice Jet, DIAL, MIAL, Celebi, LG, Nestle, Titan, Tech Mahindra, L&T Group, Adani, Flipkart, Airtel, Hindustan Coca Cola, CERC, Tata Power, Noida Power, Essar, GVK, Indraprastha Gas, DGH, Jindal Group, Raychem RPG, ITC, TCI, Volvo Eicher, Big Boy Toys, TNT Motors and some Premium Dealerships of Audi, Mercedes, Harley Davidson, etc.
This will pave way for a vibrant Placement Cycle the batch graduating in 2016.
College of Legal Studies (CoLS)
The youngest of the 3 colleges at UPES, College of Legal Studies, too has its own fast growing fan-following. The 3rd & 4th Year (graduating batches of 2016 & 2017) have had a fantastic run on their Winter Internships and are poised for some good exposure during their Summer Internships during June & July of 2015.
College of Engineering Studies (CoES)
The Summer Internship Program offers a unique and rewarding corporate exposure to our budding pool of talent. While gaining professional work experience and completing relevant academic coursework, student’s go through six-eight weeks of real-world work experience during their internship placement.
In our Internship Course and program workshops, students explore connections between academic track and professional experience, and gain essential skills such as interviewing and networking.
Students from across domains like Oil & Gas, High Technology, Power, Transportation, Infrastructure and Information Technology got a chance to get on site hands on experience.
Mahindra Aerospace, Cyient, Schlumberger Asia Services Limited, Reliance, Worley Parsons, Cairn India Limited, TATA Motors, Hero Motor Corp., Honda Two wheelers, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., MAN Trucks, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai, Universal Group, Amrapali, Shapoorji Pallonji Company Private Limited, Moserbaer, Halonix, JBM, Coco Cola, TATA Steel, GAIL, ESSAR, PARI, Caterpillar, Zensar Technologies, Schneider Electric, Mindtree, IBM, Reliance Telecommunication, Cognizant, Genpact, are few names out of the list of companies who have recruited summer interns from UPES- College of Engineering Studies.
