UPES conducts entrance exams for admission in MBA, M.Des, M.Tech, B.Tech, B.Des and LLB courses. The details are given below.

 
MBA (UPESMET Test)

 

Examination Pathway – MBA admissions through UPESMET Test

Admissions through UPES Management Entrance Test (UPESMET )
Candidates who have minimum 50% marks in Class 10th and Class 12th and in graduation, can seek admission to UPES MBA programs by taking the UPES Management Entrance Test (UPESMET)

Non Examination Pathway – MBA admissions through National Level Tests

If you fulfill our eligibility criteria (Minimum 50 % marks in class 10th and 12th, as well as in graduation - Appeared but Result awaited can also apply) and have any of the following test scores
  • Sept MAT 2015 score of minimum 75 percentile
  • December MAT 2015 score of minimum 75 percentile
  • Feb MAT 2016 score of minimum 75 percentile
  • May MAT 2016 score of minimum 75 percentile
  • Accept CMAT 2015 / XAT 2016 / CAT 2015 / NMAT 2015 / GMAT Scores

** Upto 50% seats shall be filled through National Level Tests category. Incase candidates for such seats are not available, UPES has the right to fill these seats through UPES Entrance Test. University also reserves the right to conduct further physical (paper pencil test) for admission post March ' 2016

** University reserves the right to change the Test Date or cancel the Test .University also reserves thr right to conduct further physical (pen/paper) test post administration of the March ' 2016  Test.

  

Reservation of Seats

For Uttarakhand Bonafide resident candidates : 15% of the seats in all program will be reserved for resident of Uttrakhand subject to producing of "Sthai Niwas Praman Patra certificate" .These Seats will be filled by separate merit list declared for Uttarakhand resident candidates.However in the event of the seats remaining unfilled by the stipulated date in the above mentioned category the same shall be treated as unreserved.

Note: Candidates applying under this category would be required to produce the original “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” during the day of admission failing which their candidature shall stand cancelled.

Non Examination Pathway - LAW Programs through Board Merit/ CLAT Merit/ L-SAT India Merit#

 

CLAT Merit / L-SAT India Merit

  • For BA LLB (Hons.)/ BBA LLB (Hons.)/ B.Com, LLB (Hons)- Candidates with minimum 50% Marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th) and CLAT ranking upto 5000/ L-SAT India score of 60 percentile or above will be exempted from UPES Law Studies Aptitude test and will be invited directly for GD and Interview.
  • For B. Tech+ LLB (Hons.) Candidates with minimum 60% Marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th), minimum 60% Marks in PCM at Senior Secondary Level (12th) and CLAT ranking upto 5000/ L-SAT India score of 60 percentile or above will be exempted from UPES-EAT and admissions through Merit Ranking.

Board Merit

  • For BA LLB (Hons.)/ BBA LLB (Hons.)/B.Com LLB (Hons)- Candidates with 85% marks in 10th and 12th best of five subjects (English as one of the compulsory paper) are exempted from UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) and will be invited directly for GD and Interview.
  • For B.Tech+ LLB (Hons.) Candidates with minimum 80% marks in 10th, 12th and 12th PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) are exempted from UPES-EAT and admissions will be through Merit Ranking.
 

Age Criteria

Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1994 are eligible to apply for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic.

#Upto 20% seats shall be filled through Board Merit/ CLAT/ L-SAT India Category. In case, any seat remaining vacant UPES has the right to fill such seats through UPES Entrance Exam.

 

Candidates placed in compartment are not eligible for admission to any program of study in the University

M.Des (UPES – DAT)

Candidates who don’t have a valid CEED score or didn’t appear for CEED exam will have to sit for UPES Design Aptitude Test (UPES - DAT) which will be followed by Personal Interviews and presentation on work portfolio.

UPES DAT is conducted online for evaluating the design aptitude of the candidate. It comprises of objective type questions.

The eligibility criteria for admission in M. Des is as follows:

  • Minimum 50 % marks at Higher & Senior Secondary Level (10th& 12th)
  • B. Tech / BE in any discipline / B. Arch / BFA-4 yrs / B. Des/ 3 years B.Sc in Design plus 1 year of foundation /Applied Arts with minimum 50% marks

Examination Pathway (UPAT)

Minimum 50% marks in class X and minimum 50% marks in class XII with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Statistics as compulsory subject in class XII are eligible for U-PAT (UPES Planning Aptitude Test) – Online Test and admission on Merit Ranking.
