International Immersion programs at UPES provide students holistic growth and global exposure.

UPES has expanded its reach across the globe by entering into international academic collaborations with 40 partners in 18 countries. These collaborations are in form of joint seminars, faculty exchange programs, joint research, review of PhD theses and mutual exchange of scientific publications.

There is also a student exchange relationship, where nominated students from UPES have an opportunity to study a semester abroad for credit with a partner university. Similarly, students from the partner university get an option to study a semester at UPES. Partner educational institutes include the likes of Stanford University (USA), McGill University (Canada), Wilfred Laurier University (Canada), China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Centennial College (Canada), Queen Mary University of London (UK) and University of Waterloo (Canada).

UPES students get brilliant opportunities to participate in international competitions and events. For almost five years, UPES students have been participating in CanSat – a prestigious aerospace event that attracts representation from more than 50 universities across the globe. This year, Team Astral of UPES ranked no. 1 at this competition. UPES engineering students have received a grant of Rs. 20 lakhs after reaching the finals of India Innovation Growth Programme 2.0 which is also known as IIGP 2.0. They will now be working on prototypes of innovative technologies.
