Dr. P. G. Diwakar

Dr. P. G. Diwakar is currently serving as ISRO Chair Professor at National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), IISc Campus, Bangalore, India. He has previously served as Distinguished Scientist at ISRO.  

He had 36 years of extremely successful professional career at Dept. of Space, ISRO and developed expertise in the fields of Space Technology & Applications, Digital Image Processing, Application Software Design & Development and Geospatial Technology and Solutions.  

During his stint at ISRO Dr. Diwakar served as Associate Director, Earth Observation System; Programme Director, Earth Observation & Disaster Management System; Deputy Director, National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Hyderabad; Director, Earth Observation & Disaster Management; Scientific Secretary of ISRO, Bengaluru and Honorary Distinguished Professor, ISRO.  

He is author of more than 100 publications in National & International Journals and Symposiums.
