Mr. Shashi Rajan

Shri Shashi Rajan, Executive Director is Head of Institute, ONGC Academy, Dehra Dun. He is a certified trainer and a certified mentor. He has national and international publications to his credit. His favourite areas of training and research are Emotional Intelligence, Stress Management, Resilience, Mentoring and Assessments.

He comes with educational qualifications of MBA, LLB and Specialisation Diploma in Training and Development. He is certified in Emotional Intelligence Assessments Process from Emotional Intelligence Learning Systems, USA.

His 37 years of industry experience in public, private and cooperative sectors have exposure to various roles he attributes to his understanding of industry and mentoring proves. In ONGC, he has worked in 14 different functional areas of management before moving to supervisory roles. His postings have been at Kolkata, Dehradun, Sivasagar, Nazira, Delhi, Mumbai and Ankleshwar.

He has travelled across geographies in pursuits of profession, academics and adventure. He is a recognised speaker in academic and professional circuits. He has been member of various professional bodies.

He is an avid reader and trekker. He has been President of ONGC Himalayan Association. He has undertaken many mid to high altitude treks in Northern and Western Himalayas, Sahayadris and Nilgiris in addition to white water rafting, snow skiing, trans desert safari etc. He led the ONGC team to Everest Base Camp in 2015 which ultimately became basis for further achievements like successful ONGC expeditions to Everest and Kanchenjunga. He is President of Youth Hostel Association of India, Uttarakhand unit. Under his leadership, the unit has conducted many team building exercises through adventure activities. The unit has also conducted many community-oriented programs during Corona pandemic like blood donation camps, virtual cultural events to network society etc.
