M.Sundhararajan is the Pro Vice Chancellor of the Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research. He was born on April 15th, 1968 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. He obtained his B.E. degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Bharathidasan University, Trichy in 1989, and his M.S. degree in Electronics & Control from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani in the year 1998, and in 2009 he received his Ph.D. from Bharath University, Chennai in the area of Bio Signal Processing.

He has over 100 indexed and WOS research papers, with an h-index of 15. He has 9 research patents and 2 granted patents. In addition, he has organized numerous conferences, workshops, seminars, and faculty development programs.

He is also a member of the Institute of Engineers (India), a member of the Indian Society for Technical Education, a member of the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology, Singapore, and a member of the International Association of Engineers, Hong Kong.

Experience: He has more than three decades of teaching and research experience both in India and abroad. His previous positions include Principal at Sri Lakshmi Ammal Engineering College in Chennai and Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at Bharath Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai. His areas of research include signal processing, image processing, pattern recognition, and biomedical instrumentation.

Awards: Professor M.Sundhararajan is the recipient of the "Service Sans-Par veil" award conferred by the Lions Club of Gandhi Avenue, Chennai for outstanding service in the promotion of educational excellence and the "Best Teacher Award-2002" conferred by the Bharath Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai. He is also the recipient of the "Jewel of India award" from the Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi and the "Rashtriya Vidya Gaurav Gold Medal Award" from the International Institute of Education & Management, New Delhi for excellent academic achievement in the field of education.

Recognitions His name is included in the 11th Edition of the Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering 2011-2012, USA. He has been an NAAC, ABET, and NBA approved assessor for quality education since 2018. He is a recognized research supervisor at Bharath University, Sathyabama University, St’Peter University, Chennai, and Shri Jadadish University, Rajasthan for Ph.D. and MS (by research).
