UPES ties up with KPMG in India for MBA Strategy and Consulting and MBA Business Analytics

UPES and KPMG in India have joined hands for fostering the right talent to meet the ever-growing demand for industry-ready management professionals

Expert opinions and recent reports suggest that there is a rising demand for professionals in Strategy and Consulting and Business Analytics space. This industry has been consistently growing at a CAGR of 15%-20% over the past decade and consulting firms have reported double-digit growth even during the pandemic.

For nurturing the right talent that can further contribute to this growth, UPES and KPMG in India have entered into a partnership to co-design and co-deliver MBA Strategy and Consulting at the School of Business. KPMG in India will also co-deliver MBA Business Analytics being already offered at the School of Business.
 

Benefits for MBA aspirants

MBA aspirants pursuing these programs will benefit in multiple ways:

  • They will have access to KPMG in India subject matter experts through face-to-face and virtual lectures.
  • Experts from KPMG in India will teach select modules.
  • KPMG in India will provide case studies and mentored projects for students to work on real-world problems and gain practical experience. They will be mentored by KPMG in India practitioners.
  • Upon completion of the program, students will receive an MBA degree from UPES along with a certificate from KPMG in India. 
     

Scope of collaboration

  • KPMG will offer courses as part of the MBA program with specialization in Business Analytics, and MBA with specialization in Strategy and Consulting.
  • KPMG will offer 10% of total credits (around 12 credits) of the MBA program
  • The 12 credits (offered by KPMG) will comprise 4 courses
  • The courses will be offered over 1st, 2nd and 3rd semesters of the MBA program
  • The 4 courses are envisaged to be a combination of 2 foundation courses (applicable for both specializations) and 2 courses specific to each specialization
  • The course content to be offered by KPMG as part of the courses will include case studies, project work, etc.

According to Dr Sunil Rai, Vice-Chancellor, UPES, “Multi-faceted disruption is pushing businesses to re-think their sustenance and growth strategy for which they require expert professionals who can help them navigate unprecedented scenarios. We are proud to be the first university to offer an MBA program in Strategy & Consulting, that too in partnership with KPMG, which will definitely provide our students an edge.”

Narayanan Ramaswamy, National Leader, Education and Skill Development, KPMG in India, said his organisation was thrilled “to collaborate with UPES to jointly deliver two MBA programs”.

“These programs are aimed at developing industry-relevant skills among future professionals in a dynamically changing business world. These courses will be delivered by our own professionals, will provide industry exposure to students, equipping them with knowledge, skills and techniques required to kick start a career in management in their area of interest,” he added.
