B. Tech. Applied Petroleum Engineering Gas Spl. in Gas Processing is a new specialization to be launched in August 2021 which will cover natural gas exploration, production and processing. Any natural gas explored requires processing before they can be of any commercial value. This course enables students to be gas processing industry ready. The students will study courses like Natural gas conditioning and processing, Automation in gas industries, Safety in gas industries, Gas trading etc. The students will also be provided training in software like Petrel E&P, CMG, ASPEN Plus, PIPESIM, SIMSCI PIPEPHASE etc. The graduated students will be industry ready for the companies like Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Petronet LNG, Shell, Halliburton, Adani gas, Reliance, Torrent gas etc.
The foundation of higher learning at UPES since its inception has been to explore and promote areas of learning that are innovative and future focused.
