It focuses on New-Age growth areas in media such as social media, mobile journalism, data visualisation & Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This degree programme trains students as digital storytellers, provides hands on training on state-of-the-art infrastructure and imparts cross-cutting communication skills  which are in demand in the media sector,corporates, public policy institutions and startups.

Social media skills have become fundamental in our day-to-day life and are the defining focus of the current media landscape. Whether you envisage building your own brand on social media or work for a media organization for content marketing or strategic analysis, our specialization in Social media will prepare you for effective use of online channels and social media platforms. Our courses focus on social media tools, metrics, curating and creating content, and marketing strategies. This specialisation simultaneously equips students with Google Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) tools for increasing distribution and discoverability of online content which is a key skill set to all online publishing. The course would specifically focus on social media and SEO integration for a strategic use of search engine algorithms, on-page and off-page optimization, for highest search engine ranking and site visibility and traffic. The SEO specialization would cover critical areas such as algorithms, building social media signals, PageRank, HTML tags, and effective use of keywords.
