If you wish to understand the various facets of law in an economic context, then you need to be well-versed when it comes to the science of economics. After all, to bridge the gap between legal theory and economic practices, an in-depth understanding of trade and commerce is key.

This program aims to accomplish this goal by efficiently combining the existing knowledge of economic sciences and special training involved in the study of taxation law.

This specialised course includes subjects like Accounts, Finance, Economics, and language, which are supplemented by a range of law courses. Together, they provide a broad-based multidisciplinary foundation to the curriculum.

LLB admissions through UL-SAT (up to 80% of seats)

The UPES ULSAT 2018 is scheduled on 5th May 2018 (offline) and 11th-13th May 2018 (online). The last date to apply for this exam is 20th April 2018.

LAW Programs through Board Merit/CLAT Merit/LSAT India Merit

Please note that you should meet the eligibility criteria to participate in the GDPI process.

CLAT Merit/LSAT India Merit:

For BA LLB (Hons.)/BBA LLB (Hons.)/B.Com LLB (Hons.): Candidates will be exempted from the UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test and will be invited directly for GD and Interview if they meet the following criteria –

  • Minimum 50% Marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)
  • CLAT ranking up to 10000/LSAT India score of 60% or above

For B.Tech LLB (Hons.): Candidates will be exempted from UPES-EAT and admissions through merit ranking if they meet the following criteria –

  • Minimum 50% Marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th)
  • Minimum 50% Marks in PCM at Senior Secondary Level (12th)
  • CLAT ranking up to 10000/LSAT India score of 60% or above

Board Merit:

For BA LLB (Hons.)/BBA LLB (Hons.)/B.Com LLB (Hons.): Candidates are exempted from the UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test (ULSAT) and will be invited directly for GD and Interview if they meet the following criteria –

  • Minimum 85% marks in 10th and 12th best of five subjects (English being compulsory)

For B. Tech LLB (Hons.): Candidates are exempted from UPES-EAT and will be admitted through merit ranking if they meet the following criteria –

  • Minimum 70% marks in 10th and 12th (PCM).

Age Criteria

Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1996, are eligible to apply for admission. The DoB that’s recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University Certificate will be assumed to be authentic.

Up to 20% of the available seats shall be filled through the Board Merit/CLAT/LSAT India Category. If any seat remains vacant, then UPES has the right to fill these seats through the UPES Entrance Exam.

Candidates placed in compartment are not eligible for admission to any program of study in the University.
