UPES School of Design’s Postgraduate Programme, , M Design (M.Des.) in Graphics Design prepares students to become proficient and compelling visual storytellers with a focus on the evolving industry and technology. Students are exposed to image design, typography, layout design, branding, design history, research methods, web-based design, digital design, photography, and graphics technology.

UPES’ curriculum framework is holistic in its overall structure and yet focuses on the individual need of the student to discover, experience, explore and challenge. Along with the core subject, students have the option to choose from subject-focused specialisations. They are also allowed to choose minor/exploratory subject from other schools at UPES that are: School of Engineering, School of Computer Science, School of Law, School of Business, School of Health Sciences, School of Design, School of Modern Media, and School of Liberal Studies.

Further, based on the multifaceted needs of the global workplace and evolving lifestyles, the curriculum offers Signature and Life-Skills courses through School for Life. To round off this learning experience, students are required to do mandatory internships in the social sector, government/public sector, and industry. The combinations available for students to pick and choose from are endless, ensuring both depth and width of knowledge.

  1. Minimum 50% in class X & XII.
  2. Minimum 50% marks in bachelor’s degree in Design/Engineering/Architecture/ Interior Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year bachelor’s course) OR 2 years M.Sc./MTech in Computer Science and Engineering. IT Subjects / Domains (Only for Interaction Design) or equivalent.

National Level / UPESDAT/CUET followed by Portfolio Presentation & Interview

Note: Candidates having valid CEED-2023 scores will be exempted from UPES – DAT Exam. The cut-off rank for CEED up to 1886.

Eligibility Criteria for Fellowship for M.Des Students

 

  • Minimum SGPA / CGPA 8.5 in first Semester and subsequent semesters/ year.
  • Passed every semester in first attempt without any supplementary or improvement exam.
  • Minimum of 75% attendance in the entire semester.
  • No disciplinary action initiated/ awarded against the student.
  • Exemplary behavior and compliance with all other norms as prescribed by the University.
  • Such students must not be getting any kind of financial assistance / support e.g., fellowship/scholarship/fee waiver etc. from any other source public or private.
