UPES provides a unique and focused M.Sc. Chemistry with specialization in Organic chemistry course. The specialization in Organic Chemistry equips students with extensive knowledge allowing them to opt for various careers in academics, industries and research fields. M.Sc. Chemistry with specialization in Organic Chemistry will help the students to understand the chemical synthesis of various chemicals, products and polymers The plethora of research area among the faculty members provides an understanding of different future oriented aspects of chemistry.  The Laboratory courses are designed to offer comprehensive knowledge and hands on experience on sophisticated techniques. The last semester of the program is dedicated to dissertation work making students aware about the application of concepts on real-life challenges. Students are supervised by experienced and research-oriented faculty members.

The curriculum is designed to give exposure not only about the subject, but also research ethics, communication, and skill augmentation. The completion of the Organic Chemistry course ensures deep knowledge with wide exposure, intellectual development, and ethical awareness that make students ready for various professional research, industrial and academic opportunities.

Further, based on the multifaceted needs of the global workplace and evolving lifestyles, the curriculum offers Signature and Life-Skills courses through School for Life. To round off this learning experience, students are required to do mandatory internships in the social sector, government/public sector, and industry. The combinations available for students to pick and choose from are endless, ensuring both depth and width of knowledge.

PEO-2: Students will have leadership quality to handle all kind of circumstances in diversities by providing interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary learning environment.

PEO-4: Students will be able to formulate, investigate and analyze scientifically real life problems along with ethical attitude, which works in multidisciplinary team

PSO1: Understand advanced level concepts in organic, inorganic, physical chemistry, their biological aspects and their application in day to day life.

PSO2: Demonstrate knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedure and instrumentation to perform experiments, obtain data and interpret it by applying various through theoretical principles.

PSO-3: Execute new ideas in the field of research and development using principles and techniques of Chemistry learned through seminars and the dissertation.
