Dr. Anil Kumar - Achievement

Dr Anil Kumar has recently been felicitated with the honour of “Governor’s Award 2021 for Best Research” at the Raj Bhawan, Uttarakhand, Dehradun by the Hon'ble Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh for his work on the topic “Semantic segmentation of PoISAR image data using advanced deep learning model”.

Apart from being a remarkable educator, he is a member of the "WInSAR (Western North America Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar Consortium) Executive Committee as Adjunct II, part of UNAVCO". He is also a guest faculty member of IIRS, ISRO, Dehradun, India, and was selected as the Lead Speaker of the NISAR (NASA ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) Science Workshop - 2015, conducted in SAC, ISRO Ahmedabad, India. Dr Kumar has also served as the Principal Investigator for the Space Application Center, ISRO.
