Dr. Prashant Shukla has gained diverse work experience in various roles and organizations throughout his career. He began his career as a Design Engineer at HEW of Jaypee Associates, where he contributed to industrial design projects. He worked as an Assistant Professor at Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, and later at UPES, Dehradun, where he shared his expertise with students in the field of machine design and related subjects. Additionally, he served as an Online Instructor of Design Thinking at the New School of Design and Architecture in California, expanding his reach and impact in the field of design education.

Dr. Prashant Shukla's research interests encompass a wide range of areas, including Machine Design, Waste Management technology, Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA), Automotive Technologies, and Ergonomics. His expertise in these domains is evidenced by his substantial intellectual property holdings, with approximately 23 IPRs in these fields. Dr. Shukla has also contributed to the academic community through his published research papers, further solidifying his knowledge and expertise in these areas. His multidisciplinary research interests demonstrate his commitment to advancing innovative solutions and sustainable practices in machine design and waste management fields while considering human factors and ergonomic considerations.

Dr. Prashant Shukla's teaching philosophy centres around project-based learning, outcome-based education, and product-oriented engineering education. He believes in providing students with hands-on experiences and real-world applications to enhance their learning and problem-solving skills. By engaging students in project-based activities, he encourages active participation, critical thinking, and collaboration. Dr. Shukla also emphasizes the integration of state-of-the-art technologies and tools into the curriculum, ensuring students are equipped with relevant and practical knowledge.

Dr. Shukla has taught a diverse range of courses in the field of engineering. His teaching experience includes courses such as Engineering Mechanics, Design of Machine Elements, Work Study & Ergonomics, Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technologies, and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA). Through these courses, he imparts knowledge and skills related to mechanics, machine design principles, productivity enhancement, ergonomics, emerging automotive technologies, and the optimization of manufacturing processes.

Dr. Prashant Shukla has received recognition for his outstanding contributions and achievements. He has been honoured with a Research Excellence Award for his significant research. Additionally, he holds four granted patents, highlighting his innovative ideas and intellectual property. Dr. Shukla has also served as a mentor and evaluator for projects in prestigious competitions like KPIT Sparkle. His dedication and commitment to excellence have been acknowledged through a Service Excellence Award, further affirming his expertise and impact in his professional endeavours.

Dr. Prashant Shukla actively promotes student development and recognition globally through scholarly activities. He mentors teams in prestigious vehicle championship events like SAE BAJA, ISIE Hybrid formula car, Solar-powered Car, and KPIT Sparkle. Dr. Shukla guides students to showcase their innovative projects and compete at a high level, encouraging research opportunities with potential for intellectual property rights (IPRs).

Additionally, he advocates presenting student projects at international forums and conferences, fostering their growth as emerging scholars and gaining recognition.
