Profile Summary
Shahina Anwarul is a dedicated, research-oriented and reliable professional with M.Tech degree in Information Security from NIT Allahabad in 2016 and B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow in 2013. In addition to this, Shahina has qualified NET & JRF in 2022. She has completed an esteemed women empowerment program ‘Shakti’ conducted by UPES. She is a Quick Heal Certified Cyber Security Professional (QCSP). She is also a certified Ethical Hacker from EC Council. Presently, she is working as an Assistant Professor-Selection Grade in Systemics Cluster, School of Computer Science, UPES, Dehradun. She is currently pursuing her PhD Degree from UPES, Dehradun. She has more than 7 years of experience in academics and research. Her research interest lies in Deep Learning, Image Processing, Computer Vision and Information Security.
Work Experience
With over 7 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, and research, Shahina has cultivated a deep passion for education and a commitment to student success. Following her post-graduation, she joined the UPES in 2016 as an Assistant Professor. Over time, she progressed to the esteemed position of Assistant Professor (Selection Grade). She received the esteemed Best Faculty Award from School of Computer Science at UPES for the year 2022, highlighting her exceptional teaching abilities. She was also nominated for the Best Faculty Award from the School of Computer Science at UPES in 2021.

Shahina’s teaching philosophy centers on fostering active learning, empowering students to become critical thinkers, and facilitating their holistic development. She believes that education is a collaborative journey, where she serves as a guide, facilitator, and mentor, enabling students to construct knowledge, develop essential skills, and cultivate a passion for lifelong learning. By creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment, she encourages active participation and empower students to take ownership of their learning journey. She strives to cultivate an atmosphere of respect, open communication, and intellectual curiosity, where students feel comfortable engaging in discussions, asking questions, and challenging ideas.
