Profile Summary
Dr. Ravi Rawat is working as an Assistant Professor specializing in Medicinal Chemistry, known for his expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, computer-aided drug design, and exploration of medicinal properties. He holds a good academic background as he completed his Bachelor's in Pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Health Science, Rohtak, Haryana, in 2016. He qualified Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) conducted by AICTE, New Delhi, with All India Rank 41. The same year, he also qualified NIPER-JEE with All India Rank 61 to secure admission at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali, Punjab. Post graduating with a M. S. in Medicinal Chemistry in 2018, he secured National Doctoral Fellowship and joined the Ph.D. program at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi. His doctoral research work entitled “Design, Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Imidazo-fused Heterocycles for Anti-malarial and Anti-cancer Activities” has resulted in the identification of novel molecules targeting drug-sensitive and drug-resistant strains of Plasmodium falciparum and cancers, with sub-micromolar potencies. He received research funds under the RPS-NDF scheme by AICTE, New Delhi, for 2019-2021.
Work Experience
Dr. Rawat has more than 5 years of experience in teaching and research. He has previously worked as an Assistant Professor at MVN University, Palwal, and a National Doctoral Fellow at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. He has created several certification courses and is an instructor on Udemy (with over 10000+ students and an instructor rating of 4.6 out of 5). He is a life member of the Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists, the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, and the International Association of Academic Plus Corporate. He is also a reviewer of various scientific journals related to the field of medicinal chemistry.

Dr. Rawat owns the copyright for the software work “HeroMDAnalysis: Automagical MD Analysis and Plotting Tool” by Copyright Office, New Delhi. He has received best speaker and poster presentation awards at various national and international conferences. His views were featured in a Russian documentary on “Global Perception of Russian President Vladimir Putin after the Russian-Ukraine War” produced by Izvestia, Moscow. He was awarded NIPER Master’s Research Fellowship by the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India, and a National Doctoral Fellowship and research grant under the RPS-NDF scheme by AICTE, New Delhi.
