Dr. Sushil Kumar Rai

Dr. Sushil Kumar Rai is a highly motivated and driven faculty member specializing in macroeconomics and applied econometrics. With a Doctor of Economics degree in the area of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), he possesses a deep understanding of the complex dynamics of MSMEs, contemporary macroeconomic issues, and environmental economics.

Prior to joining UPES, Dr. Rai served as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Economics at Mody University of Science & Technology, Sikar, Rajasthan.

With extensive teaching experience, Dr. Rai employs a comprehensive approach to his lectures, focusing on the fundamentals and discipline of economics in relation to the complex socio-economic environment. Dr. Rai teaches various courses, including managerial economics, econometrics, macroeconomics, and international trade at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He creates a stimulating learning environment through his engaging teaching style, fostering the intellectual growth of his students.

During his PhD program, Dr. Rai received a research fellowship from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), recognizing his commitment to academic excellence.

Dr. Rai has made significant contributions to the academic community through his research publications. His work focuses on topics such as MSMEs, macroeconomic issues, and energy and environmental economics. He has published research articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals, demonstrating his expertise and dedication to exploring key economic issues and their implications. Additionally, he actively participates in the scholarly peer-review process, serving as a reviewer for esteemed journals such as Environmental Science and Pollution Research (Springer), International Journal of Sustainable Economy (Inderscience), South Asia Economic Journal (SAGE), and International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business (Inderscience).
