Shatavisha Mustafi

Shatavisha Mustafi’s research interest lies in the multiple intersectionalities of Visual Studies, Curatorial Studies, and the culture industry as non-coercive means to understand soft power and diplomacy. She holds degrees in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University and Arts and Aesthetics from Jawaharlal Nehru University. In addition to other research grants and awards, Shatavisha has been the recipient of the Nehru Trust for the Indian Collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London grant and was a Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral fellow at the Department of History, Theory and Criticism of Architecture and Art, MIT. Shatavisha is presently working on her doctoral thesis, titled, “The ecologies of value-making in post-independence Indian art” from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
