Uday Bhaskar Sharma

Assistant Professor

Uday did his PhD. in Mathematics from The Institute of Mathematical Sciences in Chennai. He is interested in the classification of conjugacy classes in groups, and in understanding commuting probabilities of tuples of elements of finite and compact groups. The broad areas of his interest in research are combinatorics, group theory and representation theory. 

Uday did his undergraduate studies in Mathematics at the University of Hyderabad, where he graduated with an Integrated M.Sc. Following his PhD, He was a SERB National Post Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Mathematics in the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, and a Visiting Fellow at the School of Mathematics in Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) Mumbai. 

He enjoy doing photography and art.
