UPES Faculty nominated as a Margdarshak for a Mentee institute

UPES faculty member Dr. Shyam Pandey (Professor –Mechanical Engg. Department) has been shortlisted by MHRD as a Margadarshak. The ministry had evaluated 942 faculty members of top engineering schools, including the Indian Institutes of Technology and the National Institutes of Technology, before shortlisting 296 professors for mentoring lesser-known institutions to help improve the standard of their curriculum.

The Margadarshaks would assist in training the teachers, Outcome Based Education (OBE), improving the pedagogy, focus on technical skills, life skills, innovation and creating capacity to solve problems among students, developing better teaching learning, and assessment, including practicals. Co-curricular and extra-curricular components are also an integral part of the overall responsibility of Margadarshaks. In OBE, designing Programme Outcomes (POs) for a programme and Course Outcomes (COs) for each course will also be required to be done.
