Staying Relevant for Job Market in Covid Crisis

Staying Relevant for Job Market amidst Covid Crisis

As the government prepares to restart the economy post lockdown, business leaders are deeply concerned and are taking urgent measures to manage the fast-evolving crisis of jobs and work. Safeguarding and recreating jobs will be critical priorities as we enter this period of transition.

While the economic downturn has forced many companies to cut jobs, freeze hiring and even withdraw offer letters, there are employers who are honouring their commitments, placing a bold bet on the post Covid-19 rebound.

Going forward, remote work is expected to spur the demand for employees who are well-versed with technology. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, the internet of things, virtual and augmented reality, and robotics will make businesses more resilient to future pandemics. Professionals with digital skills, including coding, web development, and digital marketing are, therefore, likely to become even more employable than they are now.

The focus of the webinar is on giving students an overview of the post-coronavirus job scenario and the ways in which they can use this opportunity to enhance their skills and be ready for the post-lockdown world.
