It takes a digital- first approach focusing on the transformative role of technology in journalism & communications. It focuses on New-Age growth areas in media such as social media, mobile journalism, data visualisation & Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This degree programme trains students as digital storytellers, provides hands on training on state-of-the-art infrastructure and imparts cross-cutting communication skills  which are in demand in the media sector,corporates, public policy institutions and startups.

This is designed for media professionals/entrepreneurs interested in learning the tools required to effectively publish or manage a website or digital content online. Students interested in starting & managing their own website/Youtube platforms/Blogs/Digital platforms for media houses for companies or for their own influencer networks are a good fit for the course. The broad themes in this specialisation include: Mobile Media & Web Journalism, Information Visualisation, Basic HTML, CSS, Javascript & Digital Content Management.
