DETAILS

The demand for nutraceuticals and phytonutrients has increased over the past few years and they are being used by people for various therapeutic outcomes. This has resulted in a worldwide nutraceutical revolution. The nutraceutical revolution will lead us into a new era of medicine and health, in which the food industry will become a research, oriented one similar to the pharmaceutical industry.
Nutrition policy helps in paving way to achieve better health and nutrition status of the community. The Integrated B.Sc M.Sc Nutraceutical and Nutritional Policy program will enable students to help government agencies to carve nutrition related policies and programs. Food and nutrition related law, policies and act, can create a huge impact on the holistic development of the community. Therefore, in-depth understanding will not only foster public health, but will also lead to eradication of spread of non-communicable diseases.
Nutrition plays pivotal role in everyone’s life thus exhaustive knowledge would cater and meet the urgent requirement of society. The Integrated B.Sc M.Sc Nutraceutical and Nutritional Policy specialization will help students understand the basics and advancements in the field of nutraceutical and nutrition policy development for public health.
