Assistant Professor
Profile Summary
Dr. Kuldeep Swarnkar has joined the Sustainability Cluster as an Assistant Professor in the School of Advanced Engineering at UPES Dehradun. He possesses over three years of experience in the role of Assistant Professor. He is an emerging researcher with over seven years of specialized experience in the field of Water Resources Engineering. He received his Doctorate, Masters, and Graduate degrees in Civil engineering from IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, and RTU Kota in 2024, 2017, and 2015 respectively. His research focuses on contaminant transport in urban drainage systems and water bodies. A part of his doctoral research was based on an international India-UK Project (DST-NERC/EPSRC) named “Pathways and evolution of pollutants: Interaction between physical controlling effects, microbial community composition, and pollutant biodegradation rate”. During his Ph.D. he spent a summer at University of Warwick, UK for research works related to the international project. During his M.Tech. at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, he worked on two sponsored projects: (i) Mathematical Model Study of Storm Drainage Channel, Kolkata, and (ii) Hydraulic Simulation of Kusei River, Orissa. He specializes in water resources engineering and actively collaborates for consultancy works.
