About UPES
UPES, established in 2003, is a leading multidisciplinary, research-driven institution committed to academic excellence, impactful research, and the holistic development of students. As per the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026, UPES now stands in the 501-600 band globally and 5th in India. Notably, in Research Quality, UPES jumped 57 positions in just one year to be ranked 299 globally. It is among the top 2% of universities in the world. As per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, UPES has been ranked 45 among universities, with a rank of 18 in Law, 36 in Management, and a rank of 43 in Engineering, 45 in Research, and in the 11–50 band in Innovation.
UPES offers graduate and postgraduate programs through its seven schools: School of Advanced Engineering, School of Computer Science, School of Design, School of Law, School of Business, School of Health Sciences & Technology, and School of Liberal Studies & Media. The UPES family includes 19100+ students, 1,500+ faculty and staff members, and a thriving community of 38000+ alumni.
UPES has also been accredited by NAAC with a grade ‘A’ and has received 5 stars on Employability (placements) by the globally acclaimed QS Rating. The university has had 100% placements over the last five years. 50+ faculty members from UPES feature among the world’s top 2% researchers as per the Stanford University list.
The UPES has implemented several initiatives to promote research and innovation among its faculty and students. These initiatives include SEED Individual Funding, which offers financial support for testing research ideas; SEED Infrastructure Funding, which supports the development of research infrastructure; SEED Incubation, a program for faculty members with marketable concepts; SHODH support for students, fostering innovation-driven entrepreneurship; Anusandhan, equipping faculty and students with the latest developments in their fields; a dedicated IPR cell for patents and copyrights; Learning with Leaders, providing support sessions with experts and funding agencies; and Runway, a business incubator encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation-driven startups in Uttarakhand. These initiatives collectively aim to create a culture of innovation, advance cutting-edge research, and support the transformation of research and ideas into tangible products and solutions for the market.
About IYRC
IYRC is an exhibition of the ongoing research activities of educational institutions. It provides a platform for exchange of thoughts between distinguished guests and participants from different cultural and scientific backgrounds, facilitating industry and academia interaction with an emphasis on the technological requirements. IYRC aims to inspire and encourage undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. student community to pursue a career in research. It is a forum to harness young minds by taking innovations made in research to their actual implementation in the industries. IYRC aims to be a catalyst to build holistic, transformable and innovative ideas. We invite young researchers to register and participate in IYRC 2026.

The acceptable word range for the abstract is 250-500 words, including 3 to 5 keywords at the bottom. Information about selected abstracts will be communicated to the corresponding author through email. Authors of the selected abstracts are required to register online.
