Specialised subjects are developed by EY, with approximately 600 hours delivered by EY faculty to ensure strong industry alignment.

This MBA investment banking program blends strong core finance foundations with deal-oriented learning, enabling students to build capabilities in transaction frameworks, valuation standards, risk analysis, and capital markets operations- aligned with how investment banking functions in practice.

The curriculum combines accounting and corporate finance with advanced modules in capital raising and transactions, financial modelling and valuation, equity research, risk management, global markets and trading systems, restructuring, and event-driven analytics. Students gain hands-on experience with industry tools such as Excel for financial modelling, Python for analytics, SQL for data handling, and Power BI for visualisation supported by transaction-led case studies and a capstone project- preparing graduates for roles across front-end, middle-office, and strategic finance functions across investment banking, consulting firms, and financial institutions.

Eligibility

Interested candidates must meet the following minimum eligibility criteria for the MBA in Investment Banking and Capital Markets program (in knowledge partnership with EY India):

  • Minimum 50% marks in Class X and XII, and 60% in Graduation
  • Graduation from a recognized university in any stream

Selection Criteria

Selection for admission to the MBA in Investment Banking and Capital Markets program at UPES is based on performance in UPESMET / national-level entrance exams, followed by a Personal Interview.
