Healthcare Analytics, Package Pricing, Game theory, Applied Statistics (Time Series models, Econometric Models, etc)

Teaching Philosophy

Prof. Meera’s exposure from being a Statistician to the IIM system of case-based and interactive learning made her realise that active learning happens through a mix of both lecture-based method (for deeper concepts) and scenario-based / case-based learning for application-oriented learning. She tries to bring in aspects of both traditional chalk and board method, scenario-based learning and peer-learning to her students.

Courses Taught

Prof. Meera handles Business Mathematics, Research Methodology and Report Writing and Quantitative Techniques for Managers.

Scholarly Activities

Her research interest includes areas of applied statistics including copula models, survival analysis, multivariate analysis, time series analysis and other management domains requiring data analytics. Prof. Meera’s thesis work is on Healthcare Operations investigating the role of measurement and use of copula models for developing models for pricing. It addresses aspects of endogeneity which is frequently seen in the conventional pricing models and has implications on marketing and strategic levels of healthcare operations.
