Sushil Kalyani

Dr. Sushil Kalyani is an academic in accounting and finance with extensive teaching, research, and industry experience. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance, along with qualifications including MBA (Finance), PGCPF (IIM Indore), M.Com, MA (Business Economics), PG Diplomas in Financial Management and Foreign Trade, and CA-Inter. He is also UGC-NET (Management) qualified. 

His teaching spans financial reporting, corporate finance, and strategic financial management, with emerging interests in ESG reporting, sustainable finance, and circular economy. His research focuses on corporate governance, ESG disclosures, and the application of AI and blockchain in finance, with publications in Scopus and ABDC-indexed journals.

Dr. Kalyani has held leadership roles such as Area Director at NIIT University and Area Chair (Finance and Accounting) at IMI Bhubaneswar. 

He also brings close to five years of industry experience as Regional Financial Controller and Product Manager, with international exposure across Dubai and Africa. He has served as visiting faculty at multiple institutions, including ICAI and IMT Ghaziabad (Jaipur centre).

He emphasises application-oriented and project-based learning, moving beyond rote methods to bridge the gap between academia and industry. 

His approach focuses on real-world business simulations, enabling students to apply concepts, think critically, and build practical financial decision-making skills.

Dr. Kalyani actively publishes in Scopus and ABDC-indexed journals, focusing on financial analysis, ESG, and emerging technologies in finance. 

He serves as a reviewer for journals such as Discover Artificial Intelligence, Discover Sustainability, and Future Business Journal (Springer Nature). His work reflects a strong interest in the evolving interface of finance, sustainability, and technology.
