Profile Summary
Vaidya Shikha Prakash is a third-generation Ayurvedic physician with over 14 years of extensive clinical experience. With roots deeply embedded in Ayurveda, she is known for integrating traditional Ayurvedic principles with contemporary clinical and research-oriented healthcare practices. As CEO and Senior Ayurvedic Consultant at Padaav – A Speciality Ayurvedic Treatment Centre, she leads multidisciplinary teams delivering standardized, evidence-informed Ayurvedic care for complex chronic diseases.
Her core clinical focus includes pancreatitis, migraine, allergic rhinitis, childhood asthma, liver disorders, PCOD, urticaria, and other metabolic, immunological, and lifestyle disorders. She has played a pivotal role in translating long-standing clinical protocols into structured observational and interventional research, resulting in multiple peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals.
In addition to clinical leadership, she is actively involved in academic engagements, public health communication, and professional capacity building through workshops, symposia, and national reorientation programmes. Her work reflects a strong commitment to evidence-based Ayurveda, ethical clinical practice, and integrative healthcare education.
Work Experience
Vaidya Shikha Prakash has over 14 years of clinical experience in Ayurvedic medicine. She has served as CEO and Senior Ayurvedic Consultant at Padaav – A Speciality Ayurvedic Treatment Centre since 2012.
She has previously worked as a Visiting Consultant at AMRI Hospitals, Kolkata, and Rungta Hospital, Jaipur, and as a full-time Ayurvedic Consultant at AMRI-Mukundapur in association with Vision Care Hospital. She also serves as Director at Bharat Bhaishajyashala Pvt. Ltd., Executive Secretary (Health & Wellness) at FICCI FLO Uttarakhand, and as a health columnist for The Telegraph, Kolkata.
Research Interests
Pancreatitis and Pancreatic Disorders, Integrative Ayurvedic Clinical Protocols, Immunomodulatory Ayurvedic Formulations, Migraine, Chronic Inflammatory and Lifestyle Disorders, Evidence-Based Validation of Ayurvedic Interventions.
Teaching Philosophy
Vaidya Shikha Prakash believes that effective learning in Ayurveda is grounded in strong classical foundations combined with clinical reasoning and evidence-based application. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes conceptual clarity, critical thinking, and real-world clinical integration.
She encourages learners to understand disease processes while appreciating the importance of research, documentation, and ethical practice. Through case-based discussions and experiential learning, she strives to mentor and nurture students in health sciences and research.

Vaidya Shikha Prakash is actively engaged in clinical research, academic publishing, and scholarly dissemination of evidence-based Ayurvedic practice. She has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in reputed national and international journals focusing on pancreatitis, migraine, allergic rhinitis, immunomodulation, and herbo-mineral formulations. Her research includes observational studies, randomized controlled trials, and experimental models validating Ayurvedic treatment protocols.
She has served as Organizing Secretary for multiple national symposia and Rashtriya Karyashalas on Rasa Shastra and Ayurveda, including the Symposium on Ayurveda for Optimal Immunity at UPES. She regularly participates in national and international conferences, including the Joint Annual Meeting of the American Pancreatic Association and Japan Pancreas Society.
Through teaching, workshops, and publications, she continues to contribute significantly to the integration of Ayurveda with contemporary healthcare research and education.
