By completing this integrated course, a student can learn about two different professional fields. BA + LL.B with specialisation in Constitution Law is a five-year program that offers domain-specific subjects ranging from Making the Indian Constitution, Jurisprudential Approach to Constitution to Comparative Federalism, and Legislative Relations. Drawing heavily from the rulings made in the Supreme Court, it is designed to preserve the relationships between state and federal governments and protect the rights of the individual. Furthermore, Constitution Law enables the students to become better citizens by sensitising them about concepts that are the basis of a civilised society.
Criminal Law
BA + LL.B with specialisation in Criminal Law is a 5-year integrated law degree program – the first two years of the program focus primarily on arts and the last three on law subjects. The Criminal Law program prepares students for both national as well as international criminal justice systems. The course will cover topics such as Legal Framework on Metaverse and Block Chain, Drone Laws, AI & Intelligence Robotics Law, Cyber Security, Data Privacy and Law relating to OTT/Social Media, Laws on Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, and Smart Cities. The Hons. specialisation in Industrial Relations Law and the Constitution covers the complex legal aspects emerging out of the interdependence and interactions of the state, the employer, and the employee. It attempts to offer a wholesome understanding of labour issues and industrial aspects along with the constitutional and legal protections available to labour. The branch of labour/industrial laws impacts the lives and rights of a huge population. Non Examination Pathway
JEE Merit/CLAT Merit/ L-SAT India Merit
- For BA LLB(Hons)/ BBA LLB(Hons)/ B. Com, LLB(Hons) - Candidates with minimum 50% Marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th) and CLASTAIR ranking up to 15000/L-SAT India Percentile or above will be exempted from appearing in ULSAT.
Board Merit
- For BA LLB (Hons)/BBA LLB(Hons)/B. Com LLB (Hons) - Candidates with 75% marks in 10th and 12th main five subjects(English as one of the compulsory Subject) are exempted from ULSAT.
- Up to 20% seat shall be filled through Board Merit/ CLAT AIR/ UL-SAT India Category. In case, any seat remaining vacant UPES has the right to fill such seats through ULSAT
