Dr. Sanjay Bhat

Dr. Sanjay P. Bhat is a distinguished researcher with extensive expertise in aerospace engineering, nonlinear systems theory, and machine learning. He earned his B.Tech. degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in 1992, followed by M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Aerospace Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1993 and 1997, respectively. ​

Dr. Bhat served as a faculty member in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Bombay for a decade before transitioning to TCS Research and Innovation. At TCS, he leads a team focused on applying learning techniques to sequential decision-making problems. His research interests encompass stability theory, nonlinear systems, dynamics and control of rotational motion, stochastic processes, and bandit algorithms.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bhat has contributed significantly to the field through numerous publications and collaborations, reflecting his commitment to advancing aerospace science and engineering.
