Sanjiv is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate and has pursued MBA in Power Management. He has been associated with Power and Energy sectors for over 15 years. His work relates to Advising Policymakers such as the Ministry of Power, GoI, Central and State Regulatory Commissions on Framing Electricity Policy & Regulations, Consumer Tariff Setting and Rationalization and other associated issues pertaining to Generation (Conventional and Renewable Energy), Transmission and Distribution Licensees.

He has also been advising various State, Semi-Government as well as Private utilities on Techno-Commercial aspects of Utility Revenue requirements, Preparing Business Plans, Devising Strategies for Bidding and Optimization of Power Sales and Sourcing Options.

He has led the evaluation of more than a dozen tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) projects for the selection of developers for executing Transmission Projects. He also has hands-on experience in operating and managing thermal power plants.

He is currently associated with ABPS Infrastructure Advisory Pvt. Ltd. as Practice Head – Power & Utilities and is of the firm belief that the Energy sector is about to witness technological as well as fundamental disruptions of the scale never experienced before, and the need for the hour is to anticipate the same to better allocate the limited resources at hand.
