To bridge the gap between legal theory and practice, an understanding of the trade and commerce is essential.
Law is a profession that works in economic context, and therefore for a legal practitioner, training in the economic science is a prerequisite.
The program combines the knowledge of the economic sciences with special training in taxation law.
The trade, finance and commerce component of the B.Com., LL.B (Hons.) course includes subjects such as accounts, finance, economics, language and, which are supplemented by a range of law courses, and together they provide a broad-based multidisciplinary foundation to the curriculum.

Experience :Everything I have got till date is my from my college, be it good internship, be it my first campus placement, everything. The kind of opportunities and cooperation that the faculty gives is tremendous. Would like to thank UPES, all my teachers and everyone who’s got me here where I’m right now.
Experience :UPES gave me a launch pad to join one of the top corporate house of the country. I would credit a lot of my success to what I learnt at UPES and the kind of practical exposure I got.
Experience : It was an amazing journey of five years at UPES, a journey full of adventures and experiences. I completed my five years B.A. LL.B (Hons.) program in 2015 and since the day I stepped out, not even a single day goes without thinking about the golden time spent there. Its geographic location, world-class infrastructure, well-equipped library and well-qualified faculty are some of the things you miss for long after you leave the campus. A balanced approach by means of adequate exposure to outside world by means of Internships and several competitions as well as the amazing classroom experience is what results in the development of balanced personalities. I owe a lot to UPES and the best part is that it is only getting better with time. I wish all the best to the coming batches of UPES.
Experience : The academics days spend here in UPES were simply awesome.
Experience : I visited industries in Hyderabad and worked in my domain during industrial visit in Hyderabad. Additionally, I got opportunity to work in network Security in four different companies. I took a project “routing Algorithm-Secure Reach” which was completed in the period of 3 months in Vth Sem of my course. The project was well appreciated by the whole Centre for Information Technology department. This project encouraged my next project- ‘Key- less encryption algorithm’ on which I am currently working.
Our faculty at UPES is very talented having a grip in their respective domains. The environment of my University is congenial for academic inspiration & academic convenience. I feel proud to be one of the organizers of “trial Advocacy” & being volunteer in Paras Diwan Memorial Moot Court Competition held in College of Legal Studies in UPES Campus.
Experience : Mine is a techno-legal program that enables me to specialize in Cyber Laws. It is a 6 year Integrated course. I like the way the course has been designed keeping in mind that a lawyer who will be dealing with cases of cyber space. The program is futuristic as there is no area which has been left untouched by the influence of computers & laws.
One of the best things about my college is the campus. It’s Beautiful! The faculty is very friendly and helpful. There are strict rules regarding the conduct. The dress code is mandatory for everybody. It is mandatory to have 75 % attendance in order to appear in exams. This criterion is strictly followed.
In my first year with University, I got opportunity to be part of the course competition exclusively for the first year students of College of Legal Studies. I also got an opportunity to participate in a workshop concerning ethical hacking at IIT Bombay.
Experience : Being the student Convener of Moot Court Committee at the College of Legal Studies, I learnt a lot while organizing this event at Campus. I proudly represented my college by presenting a paper in medicinal research under IPR which held in UPES in November 2012.
My internship with Oasis Legal Advisory in the month of January was a very good learning experience. This is a litigation Firm, situated in Mumbai and is one of the best firms for property disputes and other civil cases. Most of our seniors are placed with renowned firms and many of them are working with sr. advocates in Supreme Court. These firms are even ready to open a separate branch of Energy Law Department.
Our Faculty is well versed with all the subjects & specialization in Energy Laws. The college library has reading and reference Section. It provides lot of books related to each and every subject of our curriculum. This includes online library access of SCC west law etc. which is all time useful resource for learning.
