Job Description :


Role & Responsibilities:

1.To understand theoretically the parameters affecting CO2 injection in the reservoir/well

2.To simulate average CO2 concentration and diffusion varying various parameters, like pressure, temperature etc and further simulate using a mathematical model relating the oil-phase swelling with CO2 diffusion coefficient

3.To fabricate simple micro-fluidic device able to handle different fluids (CO2 and oil)

4.To characterize and test the device for various gases and oil with known viscosities and densities, and observe the oil-swelling

5.To test the device for CO2 and oil miscible transport, observe the oil-swelling and determine the optimized parameters to achieve better CO2 diffusion


Desired Profile :


1. Extensive hands-on R&D experience in design and integration of microfluidic device for fluid manipulation/dispensing

2. Experience in computational and experimental microfluidics

3. Other helpful backgrounds include micro- and nano-fabrication, test and characterization of biosensor, nanotechnology


Consolidated salary depending on qualification and experience (as per DST guidelines).

Experience :

1 Year 0 Month - 6 Year 0 Month



MTech, or equivalent, in various Engineering disciplines (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Chemical/Biomedical). Specialization in Nanotechnology and Simulation will be given preference.
