Examination Pathway admissions through UPESEAT (Up to 80% of Seats):

  • Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th).

Non-Examination Pathway through Board Merit/JEE Mains Score (Up to 20% of Seats)

  • Admissions through Board Merit: Minimum 80% marks in class 10th and class 12th, with a minimum aggregate score of 80% in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (PCM) in class 12th.
  • Admissions through JEE Main Merit: Minimum 60% marks in class 10th and class 12th, with a minimum aggregate score of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) in class 12th to compliment your JEE Main Score (cut off to be declared after JEE Mains results).

Admit Card (to be downloaded from UPES website)

  • On the basis of information in the Application form, admit card of provisionally eligible candidates will be uploaded on the University website www.upes.ac.in on 25th April, 2018. Candidates are required to download the admit card accordingly. The duly completed downloaded admit card with photograph affixed (duly attested) in the space provided will have to be produced at the allotted test center. Candidates without the admit card or card without the photograph will NOT be permitted to take the test.
  • Candidates are required to download the admit card, complete it, and attach an attested passport size photo.
  • This admit card will have to be presented at the allotted test centre.

Candidates without the proper admit card will NOT be permitted to take the test.

The University reserves the right to make changes in curricula, degree requirements, course offerings, student intake, and academic regulations as required. They also reserve the right to change the location of the test at any time without specifying any reason or prior notice. The said change applies to both prospective and enrolled students.

100% Scholarship on Tuition Fee


UPES offers limited scholarships in some specific programs as per the University. The scholarships are awarded purely on the basis of academic merit and include either a partial or a full waiver of tuition fee. The details of these scholarships will be specified in the student’s bulletin at the time of registration. The Scholarship Committee will decide these scholarship awards, and this decision shall be final and binding.

25% Concession on Tuition fee

A 25% concession on tuition fee shall be provided only to students who are bonafide Uttarakhand residents, on the basis of merit as decided by the University. This is subject to fulfilling the following conditions:

  • Students whose gross annual family income is not more than 3 lakh.
  • Student who possess a valid ‘Sthai Niwas Praman Patra’ from the State of Uttarakhand.
  • Should have passed class X & XII-level schooling from Uttarakhand.

However, this condition may be relaxed for wards of defence personnel, subject to the production of a posting certificate outside the state that is issued by the competent authority.
