Forest Health Challenge 2026

About

The Forest Health Challenge at the UPES School of Health Sciences & Technology offered students an immersive, real-world learning experience focused on disease investigation and environmental health.

Students stepped into professional roles such as microbiologists and environmental analysts to investigate simulated forest health challenges. From identifying potential pathogens to developing appropriate control strategies, the workshop encouraged students to apply scientific concepts to practical situations.

Objective

The Forest Health Challenge aimed to strengthen students’ scientific reasoning, problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making skills through experiential learning. By simulating real outbreak scenarios, the workshop helped participants understand the process of disease investigation, pathogen identification, environmental analysis, and the development of effective control strategies.
