About UPES
Established through the UPES Act, 2003, of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand, UPES is a top-ranked, UGC-recognised, private university. As per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, UPES has been ranked 46 among universities, with a rank of 28 in Law, 41 in Management, and a rank of 42 in Engineering. About Electrical Cluster
The Electrical Cluster at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, is a dynamic academic unit within the School of Advanced Engineering, established in 2008. It offers comprehensive programs including B.Tech. degrees in Electronics & Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering, M.Tech. in Robotics Engineering, and Ph.D. programs in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The cluster emphasizes a curriculum that integrates foundational engineering principles with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, and renewable energy systems. Students have the opportunity to specialize in cutting-edge areas like AI & ML applications, Wearable Devices, Microelectronics, 5G & 6G Technology, and Industrial Drives, aligning their education with current industry demands. The cluster is well-equipped with advanced laboratories, including the Texas Instruments Innovation Lab, Advanced Communication Lab, Robotics Lab, and a DST-FIST funded Battery Testing Lab, providing students with hands-on experience in state-of-the-art facilities. Through a blend of rigorous academics, practical training, and industry collaborations, the Electrical Cluster prepares students to become competent professionals ready to tackle the challenges of the modern engineering landscape.
About ICICCD
Building on the success of its previous six editions, the Electrical Cluster, School of Advanced Engineering, UPES, Dehradun is proud to announce the Seventh International Conference on Intelligent Communication, Control and Devices (ICICCD-2025) to be held on October 10–11, 2025. This premier academic gathering will serve as a vibrant platform for researchers, academicians, scientists, and industry professionals to showcase their original research, practical insights, and technological innovations. ICICCD-2025 focuses on the convergence of intelligent communication systems, advanced control strategies, and sustainable technologies across various domains of engineering and applied sciences. With dedicated tracks on emerging themes such as 5G/6G communication, renewable energy systems, robotics, automation, and smart devices, the conference aims to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange to address the pressing challenges of the modern technological landscape.
The Electrical Cluster, UPES, Dehradun, hosted the 6th ICICCD on May 30-31, 2024. Guided by the exceptional mentorship of Prof. Rajeev Ahuja as Chief Guest, the conference focused on key challenges in signal processing, embedded system & IoT, microelectronics and semiconductor devices, power electronics, power systems, renewable energy systems & smart grids. The conference attracted over 71 participants from USA, Germany, South Africa, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, India among other countries. The conference held 10 keynote lectures from prominent figures in academia and industry. ICICCD-2024 fostered in-depth discussions and fruitful collaborations, paving the way for continued research in interdisciplinary domains.

Submission Guidelines
We accept the submission of high-quality papers describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, experimental and theoretical work or research in progress in all of the areas mentioned in the focus area. The accepted paper will be published by the reputed international publisher (Springer). The full-length paper should be between 6 to 10 pages including illustrations and extra pages may require additional fees. At least one author must register for the conference and present the paper. Submissions of the manuscript will be done through CMT portal and the link for submission is available on the conference website.
