Donga Ramesh Kumar

Dr. Kumar's continuous dedication to academic excellence and unwavering passion for engineering innovation positions him as a highly knowledgeable and experienced professional in mechanical engineering.

Dr. Kumar has over 13 years of education experience and one year of research experience. Prior to joining UPES, Dr. Kumar served as an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Lovely Professional University.

His research interests include Solar Thermal Technologies, Concentrated Solar Power, Heat transfer Enhancement Technologies and Computational Fluid Dynamics.

Dr. Kumar’s pedagogical philosophy focuses on a student-centric methodology that nurtures dynamic learning, critical analysis, and the cultivation of adept problem-solving capabilities. By seamlessly integrating real-world instances, case studies, and hands-on projects into his instructional approach, he effectively bridges the divide between theoretical comprehension and its tangible, practical applications.

He has taught various courses such as Computational Fluid Dynamics, Solar Thermal Technologies, Heat Transfer Processes, Fluid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Machines, and Engineering Mechanics.

Dr. Kumar secured an all-India rank of 285 in GATE 2006 (Mechanical Engineering).

Dr. Kumar actively contributes to the academic community and professional organizations. Dr. Kumar has served as a Technical Reviewer for esteemed journals like Applied Energy, Green Energy, and the Journal of Thermal Engineering. He has also published many SCI/SCOPUS international journal and conference papers in the fields of Solar Energy, Heat Transfer, and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
