Dr. Abhishek Sahu

Dr. Abhishek Sahu is an academic and researcher in Operations and Supply Chain Management with a Ph.D. from Delhi Technological University. With over seven years of experience across academia, research, and industry, he brings a balanced combination of academic rigour and practical insight. He holds a Master’s in Advanced Production Systems from NITTTR Bhopal and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from RGPV University, Bhopal. 

His expertise spans sustainable supply chains, Industry 4.0, circular economy integration, and digital transformation in operations. He has published in reputed journals, authored case studies and book chapters, and contributed to patents and editorial projects. He has also held academic leadership roles, including Convenor of the Institution’s Innovation Council at Universal AI University, and contributed to curriculum design for vocational programmes in Mechatronics in collaboration with KRIVET, South Korea.

Dr. Sahu has held academic positions at Universal AI University, Delhi Technological University, and IES Group of Institutions. He worked as a Junior Research Fellow at NITTTR Bhopal on a DST-funded Indian Railways project and as a Production Engineer at PP Enterprises, Bhopal, managing transformer stator manufacturing for BHEL and GEI. His experience spans teaching, research leadership, and industry projects.

Dr. Sahu follows a student-centric teaching approach that blends experiential learning, flipped classroom methods, and case-based pedagogy. He uses real-world assignments, simulations, and data-driven learning to develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making skills in students.

Dr. Sahu has published in Scopus, SCI Q1, and ABDC-ranked journals including Journal of Enterprise Information Management, Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, and The TQM Journal. His research focuses on Industry 4.0, sustainability, and circular economy systems. He has authored case studies, book chapters, and holds a patent for a telescopic fruit/flower picking device. 

He has served as Associate Editor for books and conference proceedings on AI, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. 

Dr. Sahu regularly organises conferences, workshops, and training programmes, mentors students for research and case competitions, and reviews for journals such as Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Enterprise Information Management, and The TQM Journal.
