Deeksha Gupta

Deeksha Gupta is a Ph.D. candidate at IIM Ranchi, specializing in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship. Her research focuses on developing a comprehensive measurement framework for entrepreneurial ecosystems, with a particular emphasis on analyzing various regional entrepreneurial ecosystems across India. She brings a nuanced understanding of regional dynamics to her work, aiming to enhance the support structures for entrepreneurs nationwide. Passionate about fostering entrepreneurial activities and growth, Deeksha is dedicated to contributing valuable insights to the field of entrepreneurship.

Before joining UPES, Deeksha taught Strategic Management, Principles of Management, Innovation, and IPR at MIT WPU in Pune.

As a faculty of strategic management and entrepreneurship, Deeksha’s teaching philosophy centers on making the students familiar with the importance of the subject as a theory and practice, fostering critical thinking among her students. She believes in creating an interactive and inclusive classroom environment where diverse perspectives are valued. By integrating real-world examples, case studies and business games, she aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice. She emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in an ever-evolving business landscape. Her approach nurtures a deep understanding of the concepts, encouraging students to become proactive and thoughtful leaders.

Deeksha teaches the core course in Strategic Management, covering the fundamental concepts of strategy, the strategic management process, and levels of strategy. Additionally, she teaches a fundamental course in Principles of Management, which includes an exploration of management principles. She also teaches Innovations and IPRs, focusing on the significance of innovation, innovation management, and the protection of intellectual property.

Deeksha is UGC NET qualified in the discipline of Management.

Deeksha is actively engaged in research areas such as entrepreneurial ecosystems, corporate restructuring, business model innovations, competitive strategy, and global extreme events.  Her passion for entrepreneurship drives her to advance knowledge in this field through hands-on experiences with family-owned businesses, collaborations with start-up incubators, and interactions with other ecosystem stakeholders. She is committed to sharing findings through research publications and participation in reputed national and international conferences.
