Dr. Dibyendu Nandy is a seasoned professional with over 29 years of experience across industry and academia. He brings expertise in sales and marketing, supply chain management, business analytics, and operations. 

His corporate career includes senior leadership roles at JSW Cement, ACC, Berger Paints, and TNS Mode, where he led strategy, product launches, channel expansion, and digitisation initiatives that enhanced growth and profitability. 

In academia, he has served in leadership and faculty roles at reputed business schools, teaching courses in operations, supply chain, marketing analytics, and market research. His academic interests lie at the intersection of analytics, supply chain optimisation, masstige marketing, and AI adoption, with a strong focus on industry relevance and learner readiness.

Work Experience

Dr. Nandy combines over two decades of corporate leadership with more than seven years in higher education. He has held senior positions including Head – Strategy, Planning & Control at JSW Cement, Deputy General Manager at ACC, and Divisional Sales Manager at Berger Paints. 

Before joining UPES, he served as Associate Dean and Faculty in Marketing & Operations at ICFAI Business School.

Teaching Philosophy

Dr. Nandy follows a practice-oriented teaching approach that blends conceptual learning with analytics and real-world problem solving. He uses case studies, live projects, internships, and experiential exercises to help students develop managerial judgement and decision-making skills.

He actively supervises student research and collaborates with industry partners to create measurable business impact.
