Dr. Amrita Chaskar

Dr. Amrita Chaskar completed her Ph.D. in the area of crisis communication from BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus in April 2024. She has joined UPES as an Assistant Professor in School of Business, marking the start of her teaching career.

Before joining UPES, Dr. Chaskar worked with IIM Indore as an Academic Associate in the area of Communication. Additionally, she has around 2 years of industry experience in the area of HR.

Dr. Chaskar’s teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that it is a transformative process that goes beyond imparting knowledge within the classroom walls. She believes that it involves fostering empathy, nurturing individual growth, and empowering learners to achieve their full potential. She is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Business Communication

Dr. Chaskar received the Best TA Award during her doctoral programme from the Teaching Learning Centre- BITS Goa, demonstrating her dedication and commitment to foster a positive learning environment for the students.

Dr. Chaskar has published research articles in reputed Scopus-indexed international journals. Her doctoral research focused on the crisis communication strategies of Goa's hospitality industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. She plans to build on her research findings and apply these insights to delve deeper into the area of organizational crisis communication and the related outcomes.
